Milk Herd Shares

Our real milk is raw, meaning that it has been neither pasteurized nor homogenized. For optimal quality, our cows are milked in a clean facility and the milk is immediately chilled.

Our dairy cows rotationally graze in fields where neither herbicides nor pesticides have been applied, and they have access to free choice salt and minerals that are considered for use on organic farms.  When needed they are supplemented with local hay (free from pesticides and herbicides) and Chaffhaye premium alfalfa.   We firmly believe that the milk we drink is only as healthy as the cows that produce it.

Because the sale of raw milk is not legal in the state of Kentucky, if you would like to obtain milk from our farm, you will have to participate in our Herd Share Program.  Here’s how it works:

You purchase a share in our herd for $40.  This fee is refundable (less any outstanding balances) when you need to end your share with us.  Once you have a share you are a legitimate owner.  And for a boarding fee of $40 per month, you are entitled to approximately one gallon of milk per week.  From a legal standpoint, we are selling you our services and not the milk.
